If you are looking for someone to investigate your English family history for you, Wessex Family Research will be happy to find out where your ancestors came from and what they did. We offer a range of 4 different packages to suit your needs and your budget.
These off-the-shelf packages are described below. | Starter Package
If you are just setting out on your family history quest and you know little about your ancestors, then our Starter Package could be ideal. We will look at one line (surname) of your family using standard national records going back to the mid 19th century. This includes Birth, Marriage and Death certificates (1837 onwards), Census Returns (1841-1901) and Probate (1858 onwards). | |

| Standard Package
If you would like us to research your family further back in time then the Standard Package would be more suitable. Using parish registers and other appropriate records, we would aim to trace your family back to the 18th century. You could also choose this option if you would like us to investigate 2 or 3 branches of your family at once, using the standard national records listed above. | |

| Advanced Package
The Advanced Package will give you plenty of options if you are looking for a more substantial piece of work. With more research time, we will have greater freedom to trace your ancestors further back in time and expand the story of your family into different areas using a wider range of historical sources. You could ask for more detailed research into one main line, or you may want us to investigate several branches of your family tree at the same time. | |

| Deluxe Package
If you are looking for the ultimate in both research and presentation, you might consider the Deluxe Package. Whether you're interested in a comprehensive report into one or two surnames, or you want to learn about all 16 of your great-great-grandparents, just tell us what you want to find out. This substantial research package should answer many of your questions, and your presentation report can take pride of place on the bookshelf or coffee table. | |

When you commission us to carry out research, we will clarify exactly what you want us to do before we start, and we will keep in contact with you throughout the process. You can direct the work as much, or as little, as you like. We want to make sure that you will be be pleased with the end product. Note - There are never any guarantees in Family History. Some ancestors cannot be found because vital evidence has been destroyed, misplaced or simply never existed. Whilst we will explore every sensible avenue in the search for your ancestors, we do not want to waste your money. If we hit a brick wall, we will let you know and inform you of your options. In such cases, work on your project will be suspended and no further money spent until you have decided what you want us to do.
